Liverpool v Manchester City: Build-up, Stats & Predictions

City go into this game…
  • 4 points behind league leaders Liverpool, with 2 games in hand
  • With the outcome of the Premier League title race still firmly in their hands
  • Having scored 15 goals and conceded 2 in their last 5 games
  • With Aguero returning to the squad after a month-long absence
  • Having just beat Southampton 4-1 at home.
What happened last time…

The last time these two played was on Boxing Day, when City won 2-1 at the Etihad – here are some highlights to refresh your memory!

Team prediction…

I predict 2 changes to the side that played against Southampton last weekend, I think that it’ll be Clichy instead of Kolarov and Aguero over Dzeko.

I believe that this is our best possible starting 11, and our best chance at beating Liverpool.

Who to look out for…

I think it goes unsaid that their best player is Luis Suarez, he has 29 goals to his name in the Premier League alone this season and we all know that he is capable of changing games in the blink of an eye…

Score prediction…

I think that this is going to be one of, if not our toughest fixture of the season, Liverpool played really well against us when we beat them 2-1 back in December, so I’m going to go with a 1-1 draw.
