Report: Aston Villa 0-4 Manchester City 30/01/16
Kelechi Iheanacho scored a hattrick as City eased their way into the 5th round of the FA Cup with a 4-0 victory over Aston Villa
The Blues hit the ground running at Villa Park and scored just 4 minutes in, thanks to quick reactions from Iheanacho following a corner.
It didn’t take long for City to double their lead as the Nigerian stroke again with a coolly dispatched penalty just 20 minutes later, after Raheem Sterling was brought down in the box.
City found themselves with a comfortable 2-0 lead at half time, with the Lions not looking like they were capable or even that interested in getting anything out of the game.
Great away day with a solid performance for all the team to advance to the next round in FACup.… https://t.co/LJdkvvvI7P

After the break the Blues continued to press the Villans and were rewarded with a gifted goal as a stray Villa back pass fell into Iheanacho’s path, of which he still had a lot to do but stayed calm and patient to find the right moment to slot it past Brad Guzan.
The third goal seemed to be the final blow for Villa, as City scored again 2 minutes later, which then gave Manuel Pellegrini the chance to showcase some of City’s promising youngsters with Celina, Angelino and Humphreys-Grant replacing 3 of the more senior players in the side.
Despite being unbeaten in five games, the home side looked much less impressive than when they held City to a goalless draw earlier in the season, but that doesn’t mean to say that the Blues didn’t earn their high-scoring victory.
