Report: Chelsea 5-1 Manchester City
Chelsea breezed past a below-strength Manchester City side with relative ease to reach the FA Cup quarter-finals
Before the game Manuel Pellegrini warned that he would select a weaker side due to the game’s close proximity to the crucial Champions League clash against Dynamo Kiev in Ukaraine, and he was true to his word.
There were 5 first team debuts for City in total; Tosin Adarabioyo, Manu Garcia, Aleix Garcia, Bersant Celina and David Faupala – all of whom showed signs of potential.

Faupala gave City hope when his quick thinking gave City an equaliser, after Diego Costa headed Chelsea in front 10 minutes before half-time.
The hosts, however, over-ran City after the break with Willian scoring from close range and Gary Cahill putting the result beyond doubt with a powerful finish from Fernando’s poor clearance.
Eden Hazard curled in a free-kick and Bertrand Traore’s header looped over Willy Caballero, who had just saved a penalty minutes earlier, to complete an emphatic win for Chelsea.
