De Bruyne beats Chelsea and Liverpool stars to top prize

Kevin de Bruyne has been rewarded for his excellent form this season by landing the Best Belgian Player in a Foreign League award for the second year running

Under Pep Guardiola, the 25-year-old has been instrumental for the Blues this season.

In a ceremony which took place on Wednesday evening, De Bruyne was awarded the aforementioned prize.

He had to fend off the likes of Liverpool’s Divock Origi and Chelsea’s Eden Hazard to scoop the accolade.

Gunners legend Thierry Henry presented him with the award on stage.

De Bruyne uploaded a pic of himself on Instagram at the ceremony alongside his fiancee:

He has played in 23 of 24 Premier League games this term, netting four times.
