Report & Ratings: Man City 2-1 Swansea – 05/02/17

Gabriel Jesus scored twice as City moved up to third place in the Premier League after overcoming a stubborn Swansea City at the Etihad Stadium

Jesus had an immediate impact once again in front of the City fans, using his pace to get on the end of a brilliant piece of play by David Silva and beat Lukasz Fabianski.

The Blues dominated the first half, but the visitors offered a lot more in the second half, taking advantage of City’s lack of intensity as Gylfi Sigurdsson picked up Luciano Narsingh’s cross and steered the ball beyond a diving Willy Caballero.

However, unlike several games this season, the goal seemed to spur the Blues on.

They picked up the pace for the final ten minutes and their efforts were rewarded as Jesus was on hand to slide home a winner after his header was parried by Fabianski.
